Abstract (EN)

In this study, library structures, sound level, duration of reflection were investigated by considering the acoustic comfort parameters. Since mental studies that require high concentration in library structures have been made, sufficient efficiency is required to be properly designed spaces in terms of acoustic comfort parameters. In this thesis study; İhsan Doğramacı Bilkent University Library was selected as the sample building and the acoustic conditions related to the reflection period of the space were examined according to the acceptable noise level. In order to make the subjective evaluations with the sampling users, questionnaire studies were done and then noise measurement was done with the measuring device. In the first part of the study; The purpose, scope and method of work are specified. In the second part, library structures were examined considering the acceptable noise level. In the third part, the sample work area was examined, the survey study was conducted to determine the acoustic comfort conditions and the obtained results were evaluated. In the fourth chapter; the suggested solution and comparative results for the improvement of the volume acoustical problems determined in the sampled space and the acoustic comfort conditions can be formed.
