Abstract (EN)

This study examines the religious socialization processes and outcomes experienced by adolescents, with a focus on the influence of the "family" in these processes. It also explores the relationship between children's religious socialization achievements and parental attitudes. A literature review was conducted, and a survey model was utilized. In the first section, the concept of socialization, socialization approaches, and the role of family factors in influencing an individual's religious socialization are discussed. The second and third sections present the methodology and findings. The study sample consists of 253 participants from the Departments of Philosophy, Theology, Psychology, Sociology, and History at İnönü University in Malatya. The "Religious Socialization Scale" and "Parental Behavior Scales" were used to collect data, which were then analyzed using T-tests, ANOVA, Chi-Square Test, Crosstabs analysis, regression, and correlation analysis. The hypotheses regarding the family's influence, demographic characteristics, and socialization factors on adolescents' religious socialization behaviors were tested and verified. The findings indicate that adolescents' religious socialization behaviors vary according to family support and control attitudes, their religiosity, and other demographic factors.
