Abstract (EN)
In this study, designing, manufacturing and experimental analysis of an infrared radiation dryer was performed. Quince slices were dried from 3,89 g water/g dry matter initial moisture content to 0,16 g water/g dry matter final moiture content. In the drying system, quinces sliced 4 mm thickness were dried at 35 ? C drying air temperature and 1,22 m/s, 1,83 m/s and 2,45 m/s drying air velocities and 40 ? C drying air temperature and same air velocities. According to experimental results specific moisture extraction rate (SMER) was calculated for 35 ?C 0,113 kg/kWh (1,22 m/s), 0,084 kg/kWh (1,83 m/s) and 0,045 kg/kWh (2,45 m/s), for 40 ? C 0,138 kg/kWh (1,22 m/s), 0,079 kg/kWh (1,83 m/s) and 0,034 kg/kWh (2,45 m/s). For an each experiment, analysis of the infrared radiation dryer was performed.
