Selenium speciation in some fish species living in Kizilirmak

In the presented thesis, it was usdeveloped an analytical method allowing determination of diverse forms of Se in fish. The method based on determination of Se species by the hyphenated HPLC-ICP- MS after the microwave-assisted extraction of samples. The entire separation of three different Se species (SeIV, SeVI ve SeMet) was performed within 3 minutes using an anion exchange chromatographic method. Limit of detections for SeMet, Se(IV) ve Se(VI) were found to be 16,90 ppb, 3,11 ppb and 1,07 ppb, respectively, after analytical characterizations. Limit of quantifications of this species were calculated to be 56,35 ppb, 10,38 ppb and 3,58 ppb, respectively. The method has advantages of fastness, simplicity, environmentally green.
