Abstract (EN)
The use of power efficient luminaires not only provides significant energy savings for the environment, but also contributes to the national economy by their longer expected lifespan, lower maintenance and operational cost, and higher productivity due to better lighting. The two main factors affecting the efficiency of LED fixtures are electrical and optical losses. Optical power loss can reach %20 due to both lens and glass breakage. Lowering this value increases the power efficiency of the lighting. One of the most important and critical processes in fixtures is optical system design. The use of LED (light emitting diode) light sources is increasing, especially in everyday lighting due to higher efficiency. However, the lighting properties of LEDs are different from traditional lamps, LEDs need optics that will have a more systematic design than traditional lamps. In this study, a new optical system was designed for the LED-based lighting system. First, LED light sources were introduced, optical design programs used and luminaire results applied were examined and their comparisons were evaluated in accordance with the quality standards specified in the CIE (International Lighting Organization) reports. The consumption of LED light sources is gradually increasing, and we hope that our work will serve the development of domestic lens design products for LED lighting luminaires.
