Abstract (EN)
Leadership is defined as being able to direct followers to a certain goal with the power to influence them. For businesses, leadership is a guide in adapting to the changes and developments in the rapidly changing competitive environment and ensuring the continuity of the business.Especially from the perspective of employees, the leader, who is in a guiding position, supports his followers and manages these emotions by appealing to their emotions such as motivation, stress management and justice in this process. In this context, it is expected that the leader, in terms of his characteristics, can manage the differences and emotions of his followers and focus his followers on the target.Leadership practices in the aviation industry are becoming more prominent due to the decreasing importance of information exchange, which requires specialized skills. The aviation industry has a dynamic structure by nature. The diversity of leadership practices is important due to its openness to scientific and technological developments and its hierarchical structure. It covers the processes of managing employees with different competencies together due to the size and dynamism of the sector. This situation requires leaders in businesses to approach the business life of their employees from a different perspective. In this regard, researching the issue in the aviation sector focused on the relationship between the relevant practices and the emotional management of employees at the organizational level in this sector, which requires different leadership practices. The study sample consists of 15 people who have actually worked in the sector for 1 to 5 years. Semi-structured interview technique was used in this study, which covers the months January - May 2024.The interviews were analyzed by content analysis with the Maxqda qualitative analysis program. The findings obtained as a result of the analysis were conveyed with the coding relationship, intensity direction and weight, and result explanations. As a result of the examinations, it was determined that the concepts of leadership practices and emotional management are related to each other and that they are concepts that need to be carefully considered both inside and outside the organization.
