Abstract (EN)
DESİGN OF LİNEAR SWITCHED RELUCTANCE MOTOR(M.Sc. Thesis)Harun ÖZBAYGAZI UNIVERSITYINSTITUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGYSeptember 2011ABSTRACTIn this study ,a linear switched reluctance motor (LSRM) is designed which has 250N pull force, and which is double sided ,6/4 poled,3 phased,8A , 24V, 250W, to be used in places such as elevator, hospital and subway doors which move linearly and in which accurate position control and rapid response is required. Electrical and magnetic quantities (inductance, resistance, efficiency, forces acting on the stator and generated pull forces) of LSRM were obtained by using analytical and predicted by finite element method (Ansoft Maxwell 3D), by determining its parameters. Air gap and stator of designed motor are made in accordance with the motor force and the ideal inductance profile of the motor is made in accordance with the geometric dimensions of translator poles. Operation and switching zones are determined as motor and generator from the inductance profile. LSRM is similar with rotationally moving Switched Reluctance Motor in consideration of its structure. There are many studies about SRMs that are suitable for use in all areas and together with the improvements in power electronics field, they become widely used in the industry. With their simple structure, high speed and sensitive position control feature at long distances, LSRMs are also comparatively suitable for automatic door applications.
