Abstract (EN)

One of the most important abiotic stress factors that reduces agricultural productivity and limits plant growth is salinity stress. The basic strategy in achieving an increase in agricultural productivity under salinity stress conditions is to provide appropriate conditions by combining the necessary features to maintain yield. One of the alternatives considered to be used in agricultural practices to reduce the effects of stress and increase crop yield is the application of nanotechnology/nanoparticles. Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) is a strategically important cereal plant with a short growth period, used in many areas around the world. Due to their novel physicochemical properties, metal nanoparticles (MNPs) are the most widely adopted engineered nanomaterials used in industrial production, agriculture, and commercial products. On the other hand, the effects of MNPs on human and environmental health are still a controversial issue. Lipid nanoparticles are low-cost, physiological compounds with GRAS (Generally recognized as safe) properties, which are accepted as safe by the FDA, and are well tolerated in living systems and have no toxicity. They are new generation nanoparticles frequently used in the pharmaceutical and food industries. In the thesis proposal, the potential curative effects of active ingredient-doped lipid nanoparticle applications on salinity stress tolerance will be determined. In the first stage of the thesis, it is planned to prepare and characterize loaded lipid nanoparticles. Lipid nanoparticles at different concentrations will be prepared and applied foliar to wheat varieties grown under salinity intensity. The protection of active ingredient-loaded lipid nanoparticles against salinity stress and the antioxidative change level of plant leaves will be determined by both antioxidant analyses, enzymatic activities and morphological measurements. In case the objectives specified within the scope of the thesis are achieved, the most optimal nanoparticle dose will be determined and salinity stress that has a high negative effect on plants will be determined. Effective lipid nanoparticle formulation will be defined in the fight against.
