Lyrical abstract discourse

This era was representing a deep alienation, the lost of feelings and the domination of modernism and mind which disagree each other for the 20. Century people, who left two big world wars in pain behind. This matter, which surely reflects also on art, was leading it to a junction by itself; the artist, who contradicts any kind of illusion and representative expression, was developing a discourse where the artist emancipates her/his soul and carries the abstract to an extreme point.Due to its fast spreading effect among the abstraction orientations after 1945, the lyrical abstraction, with its philosophy, where it deepens the introspection ?getting the strength of expression from intuition-, with its bohemian art that it performs with a wild excitement and its exceptional manner where it glorifies its individuality and with its rebellious attitude, takes inevitably its privileged place. Distinctly to other tendencies, lyrical art provides a new, individual and as much a rebel soul to the art and emphasizes as well as the importance of the painting itself, also the process and action of painting. Accelerating this creative performance by the automatism ?which is based on self automation and principle of association- one tries to deactivate the consciousness and thus to reach the mystery and wealth of unconscious and subconscious, and consequently one lets this coincidence take its place in the work of art. The major representatives of lyrical abstract tendencies which embody the enthusiastic rhythm, color sensitivity and the quite individual works of art ?owing to the material aesthetic- in the Western painting are Georges Mathieu, Jean ? Michel Atlan, Wols, Hans Hartung, Serge Poliakoff, Jean Fautrier, Roger Bissiere, Jean Dubuffet, Zao Wou ? Ki and Vieira da Silva.The lyrical abstract artist, who due to her/his nature doesn?t keep him/herself away from many thoughts, methods and philosophies extending from Psychoanalyses, -which exhibits an opposition towards the labels of the era and focuses on the individuality within different aspects- to art and philosophies of Far East, from Existentialism to alienation and to the search of i/dentity, succeeded to execute her/his intellectual difference, by consolidating her/his reference point with them.
