Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to examine mathematics anxiety, digital addiction, and life satisfaction among high school students in the Çankaya district of Ankara in terms of various variables such as gender, grade level, number of siblings, perceived academic achievement, perceived family economic status, and parents' educational background. The study population consists of all 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grade students enrolled in 30 high schools (15 private and 15 public) in the Çankaya district of Ankara during the second semester of the 2023–2024 academic year. In the research, the Mathematics Anxiety Scale, Digital Addiction Scale, and Life Satisfaction Scale were used, and statistical analyses of the data were carried out using the SPSS software package. The majority of students were found to have low levels of mathematics anxiety and digital addiction (both in its sub-dimensions and total score), and high levels of life satisfaction. Mathematics anxiety varied by gender, grade level, school type, perceived academic achievement, daily time spent on computers/phones, perceived family economic status, parental education level, receiving private math lessons, daily study time, and perceived parental attitudes. Digital addiction varied by gender, grade level, perceived academic achievement, daily time spent on computers (desktop, laptop, tablet, etc.), phones, mother's education level, daily study time, regular participation in activities such as sports, music, or painting, and perceived parental attitudes. Life satisfaction differed according to gender, grade level, school type, number of siblings, perceived academic achievement, perceived family economic status, parents' education level, regular participation in activities such as sports, music, or painting, perceived parental attitudes, and mother's employment status.
