The relationship between perceptions of organizational justice and job satisfaction of the secondary school teachers

Abstract (EN)

Firstly, organizations ought to secure the justice among workers to accomplish their aims. Justice is perceived as one of the most important factors that can ensure togetherness and harmony among individuals. The employees, working in an organization give notably importance to the concept of organizational justice in making decisions of resource allocations, pursuing process, during the implementation of processes, and in terms of interpersonal relations can be perceived fairly. Because employees' behaviours such as job satisfaction, intention to leave the job, organizational commitments and managerial confidence are to originate from their perceptions of organizational justice related to their organizations. The main purpose of this paper is to explore the relationship between perceptions of organizational justice and job satisfaction of the secondary school teachers. Research population comprises 888 administrators and teachers, working currently at secondary schools in Bitlis Province in 2012-2013 academic years. 401 administrators and teachers, working in Bitlis centre and in Adilcevaz, Ahlat, and Tatvan counties, were taken into research sample. In this research Minnesota Job Satisfaction Questionnaire and Justice Scale were used as collecting data tool. Special SPSS packet programmes were used in analysing of data obtained by Job Satisfaction Questionnaire and Justice Scale. T (one- sample t test), Mann Whitney U, One Way ANOVA and Kruskall Wallis H tests were used in analysing of data. According to the findings obtained in the result of the research, the participants expressed their views at level of agree with all dimensions of organizational justice. In Job Satisfaction Questionnaire, the participants expressed their views at level of being as uncertain and satisfied. According to the gender variable, it was confirmed that male participants? perceptions were higher than female?s in all the sub-dimensions of organizational justice. Although there wasn?t a significant difference in the perceptions of job satisfaction, male participants? points were higher. It was stated to be a significant relationship at level 01 between job satisfaction and organizational justice and among three sub-dimensions of organisational justice (distributive, procedural, interactional) by making correlation analysis. That?s why the relationship among job satisfaction and organizational justice dimensions is at medium level and positive. On the other hand, the relationship among the sub-dimensions of organisational justice is stronger than the relationship of these dimensions related to job satisfaction. There is a positive and more important relationship between organizational justice and job satisfaction. The levels of perception of job satisfaction are also higher in the institutions where the levels of perception of organisational justice are high.
