The relationship between transformational leadership styles of high school administrators and job satisfaction of teachers

The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between the transformational leadership styles of high school administrators and teachers' job satisfaction. Job satisfaction is affected by many individual and environmental factors. In this study, the leadership styles of school administrators are considered as an environmental factor and their effects on teachers' job satisfaction are examined. The sample of the study consists of teachers working in state schools in the province Bursa. For this purpose, a questionnaire was applied to the teachers. First of all, descriptive questions were asked about their demographic structure and business life. Afterwards, a wide-ranging questioning was conducted to understand the participants' job satisfaction levels and their perceptions on the transformational leadership. A total of 250 teachers participated in the study. As a result of a comprehensive descriptive and comparative analysis, it was found that teachers' job satisfaction and their perceptions on transformational leadership were simultaneously affected by many variables. At the same time, it was determined that there is a strong and positive relationship between teachers' job satisfaction and their perceptions on transformational leadership.
