The effects of logistics outsourcing application on the organization performance

Logistics is a concept that can come across in any where else and in any condition such as from military area to agriculture industry, and form transportation to integrated supply chain activities, and subcontractor system to strategic alliances, and from custom activities to reverse activities. Logistics is integrated activities which consist from supplying row materials to manufactory to transport the product from the vary of stops to the last customer, and it is also combination of supply chain, production and marketing. Logistics is also a promising sector according to the recent appraisals.Logistics is the most preferential function in outsourcing. Logistics provide firms with time and space utilities. Firms fulfill logistics activities by using logistics outsourcing applications to provide cost and competitive advantages. When firms outsource logistics activities, they can also focus their core competencies and accord technology and changes easily. For this purpose, the research gives information about ?logistics and logistics outsourcing applications? in the first part. Second part deals with ?internal environmental factors and external environmental factors? which is thought to effect the company decision for logistics outsourcing and performance concept and performance dimension. There is a research which was conducted to fifty client company in Izmir and in Manisa in order to determine logistics outsourcing decision process and the effects of logistics outsourcing application on the organization performance in the third part.
