Perception of logistics service quality by consumers and an application

Whilst importance of logistics begun to be understood as late as the end of 1990s, inthe West this consept started to before 1980s. Being considered such point of view it becomesmore evident that comprehension of logistics approach in Turkey had delayed about 20 years.Logistics management concerns with the optimal flow of materials and knowledgethrough overall production and distribution system from raw material suppliers to lastconsumers. Logistic requirements, by nature, are very complex and integrated in to oneanother. From this point of view, in order to maximize customer satisfaction the transactionsmust be completed quickly and with no errors. Today, because of very importance ofcustomer satisfaction, the concept of perceived logistics service quality has drawn attention ofboth researchers and practitioners.
