Calculation of cost and an implementation in logistic managements

Nowadays, globalizing world and technology; developments in economics, communication and transportation enable the supplement of the goods and the sales in overseas countries. The improvements in logistic services known as transportation, storage, handling, stock taking, packaging, demand estimation and also customs clearance, insurance,customer services,supporting logistic services conduce to change not only the content but also the quality and the quantity of the services. This condition necessitates the managements to work on their logistic services effectively and systematically. In order to compete with the rising competitive conditions and to keep or enhance their positions in the market place,managements should put emphasis on the contentment of the customers by using the logistic activities effectively.However,these advancements cause the increase of the logistic activities in the managements and bring about the rise of the cost items. Therefore logistic managements should minimize ,control or examine and calculate the cost of the activities they hold. The aim of this research is to give information about the concept of logistic, logistic activities and the logistic costs using traditional calculation method by giving its application as an example. In paralel with these purposes, the first part of this research includes guidelines about the concept of logistic, the second part includes theoretical information about logistic activities and their costs. Finally, the last part of the research includes traditional calculation method and its application is given as an example concerning the cost datas of an X logistic management.
