Abstract (EN)
Children's imaginations are more powerful than adults' imaginations. Play is a transitional activity in which children can design their own play surroundings. Play also reflects children's mental growth. Children prefer to relate to the environment around them and learn about various social and cultural issues through play. It is stated that children need spaces where they can live and reflect their own experiences in urban spaces. Designers must comprehend the requirements of children of various ages, consider their developmental phases, and make judgements based on these variables during the design process. diverse cultures are known to contribute a diverse viewpoint to children's play experiences, increasing the diversity of playgrounds. Cultural engagement amongst children has several benefits for children's development. A multicultural playground promotes cultural awareness and acceptance by allowing youngsters to learn and appreciate the world's variety while also developing a more open and tolerant attitude towards individuals from diverse origins. The research is guided by the notion of London's deep-rooted structure with open public spaces and its multicultural structure. London is renowned for its cultural variety. The city is regarded as one of the world's most ethnically and culturally diverse places, with several places where people of various cultures coexist. This variety creates an appealing setting for examining cultural differences. This disparity is revealed by examining children's playgrounds from various regions of London. As a consequence, open public playgrounds in London represent diverse cultures' play habits while fostering cross-cultural contact among children. These venues showcase London's cultural variety and aid in the development of interactions and connections among the city's citizens.
