Abstract (EN)
The aim of this thesis is to comparative study of the geometric systems that can be introduced in the afine plane, namely Euclidean geometry and Lorentzian geometry. This thesis consist of seven chapters. The first chapter is reserved for introduction. In the second chapter, a literature summary about the historical development of the handle subjects is given. In the third chapter, the definitions and the theorems that form the basis of our study are given. In the fourth chapter, the Lorentz analogues of the subjects including the concept of distance in the Euclidean plane are examined. In the fifth chapter, the angles, the triangles, circumcircle, incircle, excircle and the polygons are investigated in the Lorentz(Minkowski) plane. In the sıxth and seventh chapters, the findings and results obtained in the thesis are summarized briefly and suggestions for possible future studies are presented.
