Abstract (EN)
The aim of this thesis was to determine the accumulation capacities of water fern and duckweed plants for some heavy metals in İnci Stream, which is affected from a mining site. Reactors were placed into the İnci Stream. Water fern and duckweed plants were added to the reactors. Samples were taken from the plants at regular intervals. The collected samples were dried and prepared for analysis. According to the results obtained, the heavy metal concentrations in the water fern samples followed the order of Fe>Cr>Ni>Mn>Pb>Cd, while the heavy metal concentrations in the duckweed samples followed the order of Fe>Mn>Cr>Ni>Pb>Cd. It was determined that water fern had a higher accumulation of Cr, Fe, Ni and Pb heavy metals compared to duckweed and duckweed had a higher accumulation of Mn and Cd heavy metals compared to water fern. As a result, it was determined that water fern and duckweed in İnci Stream, affected from the mining site, accumulated Cr, Mn, Fe, Ni, Cd
