Structure and theme in the novels of Mahmut Yesari

Art Works, which reflect social life and culture, have an important role in the life of societies for displaying the historic developments of societies, the effects of historical time on individual. Also artists, who are licentiate of art, the most of intellectual persons who throw a new light on era, when they live, in their works.Mahmut Yesari who are a prolific author and witness to his time with his works, is a writer of drama, story and nove. The writer, gaining the success in literary direction with his novels rather than his drama and stories, deals with social issues his works. In this study Yesari?s life and nineteen novels were analysed in terms of structure and theme.As the first in this study, in Yesar?s novels the structural characteristics were determined. The relationship between the name of the work and the content, plot, point of view and narrator, time, place and people novels were examined in the context. At the point of view and narrator was founded position of the narrator in the work. When the section of the effects on individuals, as well as social time as the individual's psychological perception of time is also analysed. Space in the space section were discussed with the physical and factual aspects. People were assessed with psycho-social behaviors.Leaving the thematic essence of the study set up values of self-detachment processes, time and place of the individual holding the items through the efforts of the humanitarian situation of the corruption of love alienation, social injustice, loneliness, and love is resolved under the headings.Key words: Mahmut Yesari, novel, structure, theme
