Abstract (EN)
With the miniaturization of devices, there has been an increased demand for mobile applications. Phones have become our guide in every aspect of life, fulfilling various functions such as messaging, photo sharing, locating pharmacies, and providing directions. In line with this trend, a mobile application has been developed to facilitate the rental of vacant seats in cars of drivers heading in the same direction. The application allows drivers to share their destination, time, and available seats, which can be viewed by users. Passengers can specify their starting and ending points and request a ride from the most suitable car owner traveling in the same direction. At the end of the journey, a driver evaluation survey is conducted to enable passengers to form opinions about the vehicle and driver. The application has been developed using React Native programming language, allowing it to run on both Android and iOS operating systems with a single codebase. Socket.io is used for mapping and location services. The aim of the application is to maximize the occupancy of cars traveling in the same direction, reducing the number of vehicles on the road and minimizing harmful gas emissions. This initiative not only contributes to traffic relief in urban areas but also supports transportation in areas with sparse public transport options.
