Abstract (EN)
In this MSc study, seismic data in the Malatya basin which was abtained by TPAO and International Companies were evaluated. It was aimed to capture any evidance indicating probable oil and naturel gas reservoirs. In addition, decomposition and distribution of different rock stacks, accurance of growth faults, twist and their developments were investigated.Malatya basin extends 100 km in E ? W direction and 90 km in N ? S direction Seismic cross sections from with regards to the golocical maps and generalised stack information were interpreted and Malatya basin was detailed accordingly. There found to be 2500 ? 3000 m thick volcano-sedimanter stacks in the basin. The fault between Malatya ? Ovacık is a growing fault until the late Miosen but after that it is a left direction fault.
