Abstract (EN)
Aim: The research was performed methodically to test the validity and reliability of Mammography Processes of Change Scale of Turkey. Method: This methodologic research was conducted with 232 women between the ages of 40 to 69 who are gone to the Bostanlı No:1, Örnekköy No: 10 and Karşıyaka no:24 health care centers in İzmir, Turkey. Mammography Processes of Change Scale consists of 22 items and four subscales (Information Sharing and Communication, Consistency of Regular Screening ,Avoidence of getting in Contact with the Health Care System, Process of Regular Screening) in five-likert type scala. Findings: Cronbach Alpha for the total scale is found out to be 0.93. Cronbach Alpha factor for subscales is, 0.92 for Information Sharing and Communication, is 0.84 for Consistency of Regular Screening, is 0.78 for Avoidence of getting in Contact with the Health Care System and 0.64 for Process of Regular Screening. Total score- item correlation coefficient of the scale was obtained between 0.45-0.76. Test-retest analysis was performed to evaluate the variation of the scale according to time and the reliability is found out to be r=0.96. Confirmatory factor analysis is performed for the assessment of the validity of the scale The scale consists of four subscales and it explains 63 % of the total variance. The model was tested via confirmatory factor analysis: Χ²/df (CMIN/df : 1, 83, RMSA: 0, 06, NFI: 0, 890 ve CFI: 0, 944). Results: It's determined that, the Turkish version of Mammography Processes of Change Scale which has the same subscales with the original one has acceptable level of validity and reliability and it can be used as a scale. Key words: Mammography, Scale, Validity, Reliability
