Abstract (EN)
Turkey is developing country in the world. Demand for energy in Turkey is gradually increasing day by day which depends on population growth, industrilization, technological developments and increased welfare. Fossil energy sources have been overwhhelmingly used in Turkey. Potentially decreasing of fossil energy sources caused by various political and economic problems. For this reasons, especially in recent years renewable energy sources arouse interest such as wind, geothermal, solar energy have been utilized in different forms to pruduct electricity. Parallel to growing population and economy in Manisa, energy sources consumption is increasingly continuing. On the other hand, there have been studies to explore potential of renewable energy sources and utilization. The study shows the current energy potential of Manisa and presents development of these energy sources, also review that Manisa will become significant city in Turkey to make an investment of renawable energy sources. Although using renawable energy sources instead of fosil fuels is significant decrease the emission of CO2, taking into account the data are analyzed.
