Ottoman period metal jewellery in Manisa Museum

In this study, 51 artifacts in the storage of Manisa Museum were examined. An information form was created for the artifacts. Inventory information of the artifacts was taken, their construction techniques, compositions and deterioration were observed by taking photographs. In addition, information was given about the tradition of wearing jewelry, construction and decoration techniques, and precious/semiprecious stones used in jewelry, and explanations were made about the causes of deterioration of metal artifacts. The deterioration of the artifacts and international methods for the conservation of the artifacts were observed and conservation recommendations were made. In the table and graph section, the dates of arrival of the artifacts to the museum, construction and ornamentation techniques, ornamentation styles and graphs on the deterioration of the artifacts were prepared. In the evaluation and conclusion section, the artifacts in question are compared among themselves and with artifacts from different regions and their similarities and differences are evaluated. The similarities between the artifacts from different regions and the artifacts in our study gave us information about the interaction between cultures and the fashion of the period. In the last part of the study, the information obtained from the research is compiled, a conclusion is drawn and the study is concluded with drawings.
