Abstract (EN)
In this thesis, the optical properties of a dilute semimagnetic semiconductor ellipsoidal quantum dot were investigated. The study examined the effect of Rashba spin-orbit interaction on optical transitions. Using the adiabatic approach, the one-electron Schrödinger equation of a quantum system is solved within the framework of the effective mass approach. The energy spectrum and wave function of the Schrödinger equation are obtained. Using the obtained expressions for the energy spectrum and wave function for intraband optical transitions, the absorption coefficient was obtained as a function of the energy of the incident photon. Additionally, the allowed and unresolved states of intraband optical transitions were determined. Absorption coefficient as a function of incident photon energy; Changes in various values of parameters such as magnetic field, temperature, Mn atom concentration, dimensional parameters of the ellipsoid and the Rashba parameter were studied. According to the results obtained, with increasing magnetic field, the maximum absorption coefficient at an ellipsoid thickness of 1 nm decreases and shifts to the right in accordance with the energy of the incident photon. Increasing the magnetic field increases the distance between the 110 and 111 energy levels of the electron in an ellipsoidal quantum dot and reduces the possibility of an optical transition between these two levels. However, if the thickness of the ellipsoid is increased from 1 to 10 nm, the maximum absorption coefficient increases with increasing magnetic field and shifts to the right depending on the energy of the incident photon. Increasing the thickness of the ellipsoid by 10 nm increases the distance between the 110 and 111 energy levels. In addition, increasing the magnetic field increases the possibility of an optical transition between these two levels. As the temperature increases, the maximum absorption coefficient decreases and shifts to the right depending on the energy of the incident photon. Temperature changes have little effect on the distance between the 110th and 111th energy levels. On the other hand, increasing the temperature reduces the possibility of an optical transition between these two levels. With increasing concentration of the Mn atom, the absorption maximum increases and shifts to the left depending on the energy of the incident photon. The change in the concentration of a Mn atom is negligible, as is the effect of a change in temperature on the distance between energy levels 110 and 111. In addition, increasing the concentration of a Mn atom increases the likelihood that an electron will make an optical transition between these two levels. Finally, as the Rashba parameter increases, the maximum absorption coefficient decreases and shifts to the right in accordance with the energy of the incident photon.
