Abstract (EN)
As a result of rapid urbanization and industrialization, environmental factors such as water, air and soil are polluted as a result of the accumulation of heavy metals such as nickel, cobalt in soil and water. This pollution causes toxicity in the ecological food chain. These heavy metals in environmental factors threaten both plants and human health fed by these plants. For these reasons, analysis of heavy metals in water is important in water quality and its effects. In this study, it was aimed to develop a method by preconcentrating nickel and cobalt ions with a new biological particle modified with aloe vera by magnetic solid phase extraction and to determine them by flame atomic absorption spectrometry. The structural characterization of the aloe vera-ZVI biocomposite was investigated by Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (ATR-IR), Energy Dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS), and Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM).50 mg Aloe vera-ZVI biopolymer was used as solid phase material. Quantitative adsorption of nickel and cobalt ions was ensured at pH 7, and they were quantitatively eluted with 0.5 mL, 1 M HNO3. The sample volume with quantitative recovery fort he studied ions was found to be 100 mL. In this case, the enrichment factor of 200 was calculated.
