Abstract (EN)

Capitalism has commoditized many things that exist in our lives and made culture an object that is bought and sold and marketed. Consumption culture has created a consumption society that is not a saturation point. With the phenomenon of globalization, consumption has spread widely and has led to the spread of the cultures of western states. The United States tries to spread its culture by establishing hegemony over other states and spreads its culture and ideology around the world with its films. The biggest example of this is Marvel Studio. Marvel is trying to show the power of the United States with its superheroes, so that it spreads U.S. propaganda with its releases and spreads it widely. The main purpose of this study is to reveal the effect on consumption culture by mentioning the place and importance of cinema, which is one of the fields of activity of the cultural industry. The study is a qualitative study and the study preferred an in-depth interview method from qualitative research patterns. The sample of the research was determined as a purposeful method. The research data was obtained from ten children and their families who watched Marvel movies. Semi-structured interview form was used to collect the data. Various interpretations and suggestions were made by analyzing the collected data. According to the findings of the study, Marvel films have an impact on children's consumption actions, children want film-related products and these products they want are straining the family budget.
