Masaüstü bir CNC tornanın otomasyonu ve sonlu elemanlar yöntemi ile analizi

This study contains the realistic modelling, finite element analysis, automation and turning experiments of a desktop CNC lathe. For the analysis model, a multi-body flexible system has been created and the static analyzes have been performed on this multi-body model. The assembly model consists of motion sub-assemblies which are called members. Each member consists of models of parts or sub-assemblies which have a common rigid body motion. The stress obtained from the static analyzes and especially the amount of displacement of the insert was examined and it was tried to establish a relationship with the precision of the parts to be produced on the machine. After the analysis part, the turning experiments have been performed. For the experiments, 316-L stainless steel bar has been used as the workpiece. With different cutting parameter levels, six experiments have been done. With these experiments, the relationships between cutting parameters and surface quality have been established. Also, the optimum working range of the lathe has been determined. For the automation part of the study, the tool holder has been automated with the adjustments on the MACH3 program. In addition, the pneumatic part on the tool holder and the speed control of the spindle motor has been automated with the codes in the program too.
