Analysis Of Postgraduate Experimental Thesis In Mathematics Education

In this study, between the years 2001-2017 postgraduate studies in the field of mathematics education in Turkey is aimed to study the experimental thesis based on various parameters. The universe of the research consists of 308 graduate theses written in the mentioned years and included in the Higher Education Database in the Department of Mathematics Education; The sample of the research consists of 111 graduate theses, 94 of which are at the master's level and 17 at the level of doctorate. The determined theses were examined based on 16 criteria and the data obtained as a result of the examination were arranged in excel program and recorded. Frequency values of recorded data were calculated and analyzed. According to the findings obtained from the theses examined by meta-analytical method, in most of the experimental researches; it can be said that the quasi-experimental method is preferred, the sample is generally chosen from the secondary school level, the concept of "success" is preferred as an independent variable and most of the students do not use retention test. In most of the studies, it was found that the Computer Aided Teaching method was examined and the traditional method applied in the control group was not chosen in accordance with the current teaching method. It was determined that t-test was preferred among statistical data analysis tests. It is thought that the findings obtained from this research will shed light on the following experimental researches in the field of mathematics education.
