Abstract (EN)

In this research, it was aimed to develop materials for the curriculum by using the GoAnimate program of the mathematics teacher candidates. Furthermore, the process of preparing the animation using this program of the teacher candidates was examined and their opinions about how to integrate this technology in the mathematics course were analyzed. A total of 55 teacher candidates, 39 girls and 16 boys, who took the "Special Teaching Methods" course at the study group of EGE University in 2016-2017 mathematics formation group were formed. The GoAnimate program is taught for three weeks, with a total of 12 hours. Education was conducted by researcher. Technological pedagogical content knowledge scale was used as a preliminary / posttest for the questionnaire on the technological possibilities of teacher candidates as a data collection tool. According to the likert scale prepared by Şahin (2011), information about both descriptive and technology use and susceptibility of teacher candidates has been collected. At the end of the training, prospective teachers filled out the semi-structured interview form online via Google Drive. As a result of the analysis of the answers given to the interviews with the teacher candidates, the animation preparation process is very fun and enjoyable for the teacher candidates but it can be challenging and challenging from time to time. Mathematics teacher candidates stated that they are most difficult to record videos, set entry and exit times, and vocalize the characters. It is also emphasized that animations made with GoAnimate may be more efficient for elementary and junior high school, but not for higher levels. Some teacher candidates have said that the GoAnimate program should be more widely disseminated. For some, it suggests that the program should be more object-oriented and that the GoAnimate program should be further developed in order to be more productive in the field of mathematics education. Most of the teacher candidates stated that the use of animations in mathematics education could make the lesson more fun and interesting for the students, help them to embody the abstract concepts in mathematics teaching, and break the prejudices of the students against the mathematics lesson.
