Abstract (EN)
In this study, dose and thickness interrelation of wooden materials are on various type of wooden materials made of pine, walnut, mulberry, beech, oak, fir and wenge trees with a surface area of and different thicknesses (0.5 cm, 1 cm, 1.5 cm, 2 cm, 2.5 cm, 3 cm, 3.5cm , 4cm, 4.5 cm, 5 cm, 6 cm, 7 cm, 8 cm, 9 cm) analyzed by using photon rays with an energy at 6 MeV and at 18 MeV Siemens Oncor Impression Model linear accelerator, PTW model parallel ion chamber and water equivalent water phantom are used during the measurements. X-rays with an energy of 6 MeV and 18MeV are appliedat 0o grant angle; and solid phantom is adjusted for 5cmx5cm, 8cmx8cm, 10cmx10cm, 12cmx12cm surface area in order to make the dose measurements. Afterwards, dose measurements are carried out on different type of wooden materials with different thicknesses and then stopping power of these materials are compared with rigid water phantom. Purpose of this study is to be examined as experimental analysis of the stopping power of different type wooden materials used as a covering material in the laboratories where Medical Linac is used. These wooden materials are possible to be used as a covering material on some parts of the devices (Linacs). Moreover, wooden materials can be used as a shield (covering) material. Because of their reachable and cheaper. In this context, it is important to measure the stopping power of such wooden materials.
