Even though there has been an increase in the research concerning magazines, in the libraries there are still magazines that need to be discovered. Mekteb Müzesi (Resimli Dünya) that we have chosen for our research is one of these collections. In the research named "The Analysis of Mekteb Müzesi (Resimli Dünya) – Index – Selected Essays", by analysing and indexing the vocabulary of the one of the magazines which is Mekteb Müzesi that was published in old letters during the Second Constitutional Era, it was attempted to uncover the vocabulary of the magazine. There were 12 issues of the magazine and an sample essay from each of these issues has been included in the thesis. The magazine that was started to be published on May 1913, after the first Balkan War, is very important because it includes comprehensive data regarding the public role of children and women and the policy of education that was enforced during the last years of the Ottoman Empire. The magazine is also important due to the fact that in the magazine it was emphasized that in order to develop the Empire, technology and science, in particular, war technology and aviation were required.
