Abstract (EN)

Serial and parallel voltage regulators are frequently used to make adjustable voltage sources. The output voltage of some voltage regulators can be easily adjusted by means of a potentiometer. Memristor is a nonlinear circuit element that has emerged in recent years. When a voltage exceeding its threshold voltage is applied to a memristor, which is not under saturation, its electrical resistance value, called as memristance, varies depending on the time integral of its current. In other words, a memristor is a circuit element whose electrical resistance is electronically adjustable. It is expected that the memristor circuit element will find new application areas in many analog and digital circuits. There are numerous studies available in the literature on analogue circuit applications such as memristor-based filters and amplifiers. However, to the best of our knowledge, in the literature review done, it was found that there is no study about the use of the memristor in voltage regulators. In this study, memristor-based series and parallel voltage regulator topologies are proposed, design criteria for some of the series memristor-based regulators are given using the parameters of the memristor and the other circuit elements used in the regulator circuit, and some serial voltage regulators are examined using simulations.
