A systematic investigation of raphignathoidea (Acari: actinedida) super family of menemen district (Izmir)

In order to detect rafignatoid mites in Menemen district of İzmir province, a district was visited periodically for 12 months between 2018-2019 and sampled from various habitats. Specimens obtained have been taken to the laboratories and the acari in Berlese device have been selected; then their preparates have been prepared by separating raphignathoid acari. Preparation of samples are illustrated. Family, genus and species level identifications were made. At the end of the study total 16 species out of 5 families belonging to raphignathoid Raphignathoidea family have been determined. Stigmaeidae 6 species: Storchia robustus, Eustigmaeus anauniensis, Eustigmaeus dogani, Eustigmaeus segnis, Eustigmaeus turcicus, Ledermuelleriopsis ayyildizi. Caligonellidae 3 species: Molothrognathus venusta, Caligonella humilis, Neognathus terrestris. Raphignathidae 3 species: Raphignathus gracilis, Raphignathus collegiatus, Raphignathus kuznetzovi. Cryptognathidae 3 species: Cryptognathus lagena, Favognathus amygdalus, Favognathus orbiculatis. Camerobiidae 1 species: Tycherobius stramenticola. Figures of the identified species have been drawn out of our samples, measurements of their organs have been done, their definitions have been reviewed, their distribution on the world has been present. In additional, keys to all the species of Raphignathoidae are given.
