Abstract (EN)

Juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) is the most common rheumatic disease of childhood. Seven subtypes are defined according to the International League of Associations for Rheumatology (ILAR) classification. In this study; we were aimed to reveal the demographic, clinical and laboratory characteristics of the patients followed up with a diagnosis of JIA. Also we were aimed to evaluate the response to treatment options, and to evaluate the follow-up results. Of the 250 patients included in the study, 21 patients with follow-up information and lack of data were excluded, and a total of 229 patients were included in the study. Of patients, 44.5% were in oligoarticular, 29.7% were in enthesitis-related, 10.5% were in polyarticular RF negative, 6.1% were in systemic, 5.7% were in psoriatic, 2.2% were in polyarticular RF positive JIA and 1.3% were in undifferentiated arthritis group was detected. The mean age at diagnosis was 8.55 years, and the follow-up period was 3.62 years. Family history was positive in 31.9% of the patients. Antinuclear antibody positivity was 58.2% and it was mostly oligoarticular type. Rheumatoid factor positivity was detected as 8.6%. Human leukocyte antigen-B27 was found positive in 17% of patients. At the time of diagnosis, the mean hemoglobin value was 11.82 g / dL, leukocyte value 10.4 K / µL, thrombocyte value 373.76 K / µL, CRP value 2.61 mg / dL, sedimentation value 34.9 mm / hour. 25.5% of the patients were found to be active disease, 38.3% in medicated remission, 36.2% as drug-free remission. It was determined that the increase in hemoglobin level, increased the rate of going into remission. Uveitis was observed in 13.4% of the patients and most frequently in oligoarticular type. While 48.9% of the patients were using anti-TNF therapy, it was found that they were mostly used in oligoarticular, the second in enthesitis-related iv arthritis. The most common subgroup in children is oligoartricular JIA. Anemia accompanies the disease in a significant portion of the patients. Biological treatments are needed because remission cannot be achieved in many patients despite conventional treatments. Hemoglobin value and age of diagnosis may have an effect on disease remission and development of uveitis. More and longer follow-up studies are needed on the subject.
