Abstract (EN)

Nowadays, dusts released from the marble works leads to considerable economical losses and environmental pollution. Marble dust occurred during machining and cutting of marble pieces is waste at crystal form. Fly ashes are light metal oxides at puzzolanic structure which emitted from coal power plant during the combustion and held at electrofilters. In fact, it is possible to use these wastes in various industrial applications. In this study, polyester is used as matrix material and marble dust is used as reinforcement material. On the other hand, effect of substituting fly ash instead of marble dust on the strength is examined. Besides the change of material?s strength properties based on exchanging grinded waste thermoplastic by polyester is determined. Methyl ethyl ketone is used as polymer hardener and cobalt naftanat is used as reaction accelerator at curing. Obtained material is moulded, it has been cured firstly in the air and in the oven secondly. The amounts of hardener, accelerator and polyester have been fixed and the amount of polyester and marble dust examined parametrically first at composite material producing. When the amount of polyester and marble dust increased to ¼ , the three point bending strength and hardness of composite material has been reached the highest value. When the polyester/filler (marble dust+fly ash) ratio is 0.38, the maximum three point bending strength and hardness values vii has been recorded as the second parametric study. In the third parametric step, the production of waste thermoplastic which is reinforced with marble dust and fly ash and polyester matrix composite material is fulfilled and mechanical properties of outcome material has been examined. Test results have showed that thermoplastic which have been added instead of polyester has a decreasing effect on mechanical properties of material. It is obtained that while thermoplastic rate is %0 in matrix the three point bending strength value is 30 N/mm2, while thermoplastic ratio is %17, it is 21,7 N/mm2 while thermoplastic ratio is %50 it is 16,5 N/mm2.
