Risk tolerance and financial literacy level of farmers in Mersin province

This research aims to examine the financial literacy levels and financial risk tolerance of farmers in the Mersin Province example. Research data were collected by survey method from 153 randomly determined farmers in Mersin Province. Descriptive statistics, factor analysis and hypothesis tests were applied to the data set. According to the research results, both the financial literacy levels and financial risk tolerance of farmers are at medium levels and vary according to various socioeconomic variables. Research results can provide guidance to farmers, policy makers and researchers.
