Abstract (EN)
The vocational and technical education undertakes to coach skilful,intellectual and technical labour force which is compatible with the needs and theexpectations of the business life and industry.In this research, the trade masters were asked to fill in a survey in order todetermine the effect of the technical education on the undesired behaviours. Thesearch is composed of seven parts as introduction and stating the problem, theundesired behaviours in both vocational and technical education,, methods,diagnosis, comments, result, discussion, and suggestions.This research is restricted with trade masters working in the Anatolian side ofIstanbul.Before starting the survey, the literature search was done to indicate theproblems student faced during the technical training. Also, the present situation ofthe vocational and technical education, school-company co-operation, technicaleducation implementations in these companies and undesired behaviour weresearched.After literature search, the trade masters were asked some problems related totechnical education. These surveys were applied to subject groups out of 300 trademasters in various vocational and high schools.The surveys? statistics calculations were made with SPSS 13.0 programmeand the results of the reasons for undesired behaviour and their levels of effect werediscovered. It has been clarified that the vocational high school students? undesiredbehaviour demotivates both the trade masters and administrators therefore reducesthe efficiency. The determination the refection of this behaviour will increase thequality of education.The survey showed that after the technical training starts, the problems such as`improper outwardAppearance? (X=3,63), wagging (X=3,25) and behaviours aimed to put pressure onthe school (X=3,22) arise.Also the survey indicated that, after the technical training starts, the subjects showedbehaviours such as being unprepared for the class (X=4,12), not bringing anymaterials to the class (X=4,03) and not obeying the class rules ( X=4,01)The Key Words: Technical Education, Undesired Student Behaviour
