Abstract (EN)

The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of work safety culture on preventing work accidents. Occupational health and work safety culture levels of Vocational High School students is measured. In the first part of the research consists of the research problem, purpose of this study, importance and limitations of the research and the research field. The second part is followed by the concept of occupational health and work safety culture. The third part includes the concept of organization. The fourth part contains vocational and technical education. The method of the research is explained in the fifth part and in the final part the results and suggestions are given.The sample of the study consists of the current students of Düzce University and Düzce Vocational School. The research field includes 9 departments, 13 programs and 3958 students. Stratified sampling method is used and 541 fully responded questionnaire were collected in the research. The data were analyzed in SPSS statistical program and the frequency analysis was performed by using descriptive statistical method. As a result, it is concluded that Security Commitment, Security Priority, Security Communication, Security Training, Security Participation, Predeterminism and Reporting Culture are low and Security Awareness is high.
