Abstract (EN)

In this thesis, metamaterial absorber based structures operating on microwave frequency and optical frequency are designed. Unlike the metamaterial based signal absorber structures that operate in the microwave frequency range found in the literature, the microwave signal absorber structures designed in this work are specifically designed for use in WI-FI, WIMAX and satellite communication frequencies. The energy harvesting characteristics of some of the MTM-based structures designed in the microwave frequency band, as well as the signal absorptive properties, have been investigated. By placing these built-in resistors mentioned above, the EM energy trapped by the signal absorber is turned into electrical energy. In addition, signal absorber structures operating in the microwave frequency band were fabricated and experimental measurements were made with KEYSIGHT brand PNA-L N5234A Network Analyzer and the numerical and experimental results were compared with each other. Signal absorber structures operating at the optical frequency can lead to solar cell applications. Because these structures have excellent absorption values in the infrared and ultraviolet frequency regions besides the visible light region. Numerical studies of signal absorber structures operating in microwave and optical frequencies have been carried out using a finite integration tecnique (FIT) based simulation program.
