Abstract (EN)
The magnetic based SnO2-Fe3O4@MWCNT nanocatalyst synthesized in this study was synthesized by a series of physicochemical hydrothermal methods. The physicochemical properties of the prepared SnO2-Fe3O4@MWCNT nanocatalyst were test as transmission electron microscope (TEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), and Micro-Raman spectroscopy. In order to evaluate the sonocatalytic activity of the SnO2-Fe3O4@MWCNT nanocatalyst, the effects of various basic operating parameters such as pH, catalyst dosage, H2O2 initial concentration, initial dye concentration, ultrasonic power and reaction time on MB dye degradation were examined. Sonocatalytic study showed that OH - radicals are extremely effective in MB dye degradation process. Nanocatalyst reusability resulted in an approximately 28% reduction in removal efficiency over five consecutive runs. The data obtained showed that the synthesized SnO2-Fe3O4@MWCNT nanoparticle can be used as an effective alternative catalyst for the degradation of organic dyes.
