Abstract (EN)

The antimikrobial activity of microalgea that have been proven by different investigationsis among current research topics. Within the scope of this thesis, Athrospira (Spirulina) platensis, Chlorella sp. and Amphora Capitellata microalgea contents were intended to be added to polymer structure and shaped into industrialdisposable medical products. For this purpose, various samples of these microalgea were obtained by different solvent and extraction methods and then these samples were tested on groups of microorganisms such as Gr(+), Gr(-) bacteria and yeast. Three dimensional printing, plastic injection and melt-blending methods were applied for shaping the polymers doped by samples of Spirulina which showed the most effective antimicrobial results. All the methods applied in the study were compared and the subsequent steps were continued through process optimization. All performed procedures were interpreted based on scientific foundations and considering the target productibiliity, sustainabty and cmmerccializabilit of finall prodduct to be achieved. For this reason, besides antimirobialc proroperties pppost production ppertiies, such as sterilization, packaging, toxicity, microscopic determination and interpretation of surface properties were emphasized as well as production and resulting medical device parts have been made into a final product conforming to local and international medical device manufacturing standards and directives.
