Administrative soruns of special education classes under the Ministry of National Education (MONE) Basic Education Directorate: Kastamonu province

This study aimed to examine the administrative problems of special education classes within the Ministry of National Education, General Directorate of Basic Education. Special education teachers and administrators in Kastamonu province participated in the study. The study group of the research consists of 25 people. The Interview method, one of the qualitative research approaches, was used in the research process. Personal information forms and semi-structured interview forms were used as data collection tools. With the interview form, the participants' views on mission/vision, staff, students, instructional, educational services, legislation, communication and family involvement were analyzed. Content analysis was conducted using MAXQDA 2022 Analytics Pro software to analyze the application data. As a result of the research, codes were determined for each interview question, and these codes were explained with the help of code cloud and graphics. The statements of the participants were evaluated under the headings of three main problems: human problems, legislative problems and physical problems, and the solution suggestions for these problems. The results obtained were supported with direct quotations, and suggestions were made.
