Searching for composition and color elements in terms of plastic on architectural buildings

The art of painting has been used in architectural structures and shelters (caves) since primitive societies, and has become a part of architecture, thus adding movement, richness and aesthetics to architecture. In addition, since the art of painting is one of the most powerful means of expression and expression and architecture exists in every aspect of human life, architectural elements as pictorial images from the past to the present, and construction views, which are the formation phase of architecture, have been one of the favorite subjects of artists. From this point of view, the place of architectural structure and elements in the art of painting has been researched and it is aimed to emphasize the importance of the composition and color elements that make up the picture on the subject and their place in the expression. In this context, the research consists of four parts; In the first part, the problem situation, the problem statement, the purpose and importance of the research, the assumptions, the basic concepts and definitions of the research, the limitations, the research method, the universe and the sample are mentioned. In the second part, Western and Turkish artists who deal with the image of the city and architecture are included and analyzes are tried to be made by giving examples from their works. In the third part, application studies were carried out, taking into account the elements of color and composition, under the guidance of the information obtained. At this stage, books, journals, articles, academic thesis and internet resources were used and a comprehensive literature search was carried out. In addition, studies were made from nature, photographs were taken about architectural elements and different compositions were produced by passing through a mental filter. In the fourth chapter, the results obtained from the whole research are mentioned. It has been noticed that the artists have taken architectural elements as their subject and used different composition techniques from the past to the present. It has been observed that the art of painting, which constantly updates itself with the changing world, has different effects on artists. Keywords: Architecture, City, Construction, Color, Composition
