Evaluation of 'Comfort' and user satisfaction in architectural offices

At the present time, the Office buildings have become not only that are worked area but also that the users display their creativity andare motivated places. For this reason, comfort conditions have gained importance in order to increase the motivation and working activities at the users. In this study, it is aimed to determine the criteria to be taken into account in order to ensure the optimum comfort conditions of the interior of the users working in architectural offices. In order to determine the factors on this subject, a literature survey was conducted on the comfort conditions in the architectural offices, a field study was conducted in the architectural offices and a general evaluation was made after the results were examined statistically. In the first part of the study, literature research was conducted on the subject. In the second chapter, the concept of comfort and comfort conditions in architectural offices are defined. Examples from architectural offices internationally and nationally have been examined. In the third section; demographic characteristics, office general characteristics, structural comfort conditions, psychological and social comfort conditions to measure the level of satisfaction created by the user in the province and districts of Bursa and selected for the field study in a survey study was conducted for 140 architectural offices. In the fourth chapter, the survey results were statistically examined and the findings were evaluated under the headings of thermal comfort, visual comfort, auditory comfort, indoor air quality and ergonomics in the context of comfort conditions. In the conclusion section, a general evaluation of the findings was made and according to the results, factors to be considered in order to ensure optimum comfort conditions in architectural offices were tried to be determined.
