Abstract (EN)

In this study, thermoluminescence and optical properties of amethyst and rose quartz, known as natural minerals, were examined and compared the values with each other. For this purpose, samples were cut 3x3 mm sizes. The optical absorption spektra and thermoluminescence glow curves of the minerals were measured. All samples were heated before thermoluminescence measurements for disappear the effect of existing radiation on minerals. The samples were exposed to X-ray for different doses and were taken TL glow curves with different heating rates (5,7 and 10 oC/s) in the 50-400 oC temperature ranges. In this way, effect of the irradiation time and the heating rate on TL peaks were investigated. The RA?94 Reader-Analyser system were used for thermoluminescence measurements.Optical absorption spektra were taken by using Perkin Elmer Lambda 950 UV / VIS / NIR Spectrophotometer in the range of 50-800 nm.As far as it is known, there isn?t any TL data bank about the minerals obtained from our country. Therefore, this study is to be formed in such a data bank is thought to be a contribution.
