Abstract (EN)

Pollution caused by the use of fossil fuels is one of the most fundamental problems the world is currently facing. Fossil fuels are the largest sources of carbon dioxide 〖CO〗_2 emissions that increase the greenhouse gas concentration in the atmosphere. Greenhouse gases cause the world's temperature to increase and the most appropriate solution against this situation is seen as the transition to renewable energy. One of the green energy types is pumped storage hydroelectric energy. Hydropower has historically been the backbone of electricity and the cheapest way to generate electricity due to its low cost in a significant number of countries around the world. PDHES are used to meet the peak power need, keep the frequency constant and create load balance in the network. At peak times, energy is produced in a short time by sending water from the upper reservoir to the lower reservoir. In this study, the existing PDHES-PV-RT hybrid system in the world was investigated and the land areas where such facilities could be established in Azerbaijan were examined and computational analysis was made with the simulation program. In Azerbaijan, Russia has a great importance in keeping the frequency in the network constant. However, keeping the frequency constant in case of departure from Russia is thought to play an important role in the facilities proposed to be established within the scope of this thesis. At the end of the study, the annual electrical energy transferred by the hybrid system to the Azerbaijan electricity grid, the installation cost of the facility, the annual total profit and the amortization period were calculated.
