Abstract (EN)

Thrombospondines (TSPs) are proteins that are in extracellular matrix as nature and they are adhesive proteins interact with cell-cell and cell-matrix, their 5 subtype was defined. Each of these subtypes are encoded from different genes and some of them which are related with myocardial vascular obstruction, TSP1,TSP2 and TSP4 are in different chromosomes. TSP, that stops cell migration in endothelial cells in response to different kinds of angiogenic stimulus, stimulates apoptosis and prevents from occuring neovascularization, is a potential suppressive for angiogenesis and has a role in MI progression. In this study, the determination of association between MI and single nukleotit polymorphisms that occur in TSP1, TSP2 and TSP4 genes which are anti- angiogenic factors was aimed. This study was studied on 150 patients with MI and 150 controls. Polymorphisms in TSP1 (N700S), TSP2 (3?UTR T/G) and TSP4 (A387P) were analyzed with PCR-RFLP. As a result of statical data analysis, SNPs in TSP2 are significant and association with MI highly. In contrast to TSP2, TSP1 and TSP4 are not significant and they have no association with MI.
