Abstract (EN)
This research deals with the natural and artificial routes between the Eastern Black Sea and Central Anatolia, which were used by various societies in different periods. This research aims to present a new perspective by examining the commercial, cultural and geopolitical importance of these routes. Thanks to these routes, cultural exchange has been ensured between the surrounding regions. In addition to the trade routes, the rich underground and aboveground resources in the region have created an important source of income. Thus, it has spread thanks to the cultures of different societies and the trade between regions. In the study, the location of the region will be discussed first, and then the development of roads in the historical process will be examined. This study aimed to reveal the role of trade routes in economic and cultural interaction. The thesis consists of four chapters in total. In the first and second parts, information about the geographical structure and historical geography of the regions was tried to be given. In the third part, it is used in the Early Bronze Age, especially BC. From the III millennium onwards, the preferred road routes were emphasized. In the fourth part, BC. Starting with the Assyrian Trade Colonies in the second millennium and the roads used until the end of the Hellenistic Period, the focus was on the roads.
