Abstract (EN)

Today, with the development of technology, the use of smartphones has also increased. With the downloading of banking applications to this mobile device, the mobile banking sector has become widespread. For this reason, users' intentions to use mobile banking applications are important. The purpose of this research is to investigate the direct and indirect relationship between the factors for usage on intention to use within the framework of mobile banking applications. The research universe is consumers aged 18 and over living in Turkey. In the thesis study, quantitative research method was used as the method, survey was used as the data collection tool and 1022 people participated in the survey. In the research, perceived risk scale, perceived ease of use scale, perceived usefulness scale, attitude scale, trust scale, positive WOM scale, intention to use, negative wom scale were used. Statistical package programs were used in the analysis of the data. In the analysis of the data, frequency analysis, explanatory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, convergent and discriminant validity were examined. In order to test the model fit values in the research hypotheses, r square, f square and model fit analysis were performed and direct effect and indirect effect values were examined. Finally, comparison of the relationships in the model according to the gender of the participants and multi-group difference analysis were performed. The findings showed that perceived risk has an effect on trust in using the mobile banking application. In addition, it is seen that perceived ease of use has an effect on attitude, intention to use and trust, perceived usefulness has an effect on attitude, intention to use and trust, attitude affects intention to use, trust has an effect on attitude, intention to use has an effect on positive wom and negative wom. Attitude has a mediating role in the effect of perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness on intention to use the mobile banking application. It was found that perceived risk has no effect on attitude and intention to use. It is seen that trust has no effect on intention to use. It is seen that attitude and trust do not have a mediating role in the effect of perceived risk on intention to use the mobile banking application. It was concluded that trust did not have a mediating role in the effect of perceived usefulness on the intention to use the mobile banking application. Since demographic variables such as age, education level and income status were not equally distributed, no analysis was conducted. As a result of the multi-group difference analysis, it was seen that trust had an effect on the intention to use the mobile banking application and the intention to use the mobile banking application had an effect on negative wom.
